A community of 24 residences introduced a variety of housing options for families to the Moodyville neighbourhood in North Vancouver, with three-bedroom ground-oriented flats and two- to three-bedroom townhouse units.
The contemporary architecture considers local traditional building styles and maintains a single-family expression. Proportionate windows are set symmetrically into traditional massing forms, which is stepped back at upper levels to allow additional natural light into the community courtyard.
Materials include divided windows, wrought iron railings and canopies along with architectural details such as tension cables, exposed gutters and goose neck exterior lights pay tribute to Moodyville’s industrial past.
