This unique project combines a carefully renovated existing character house with contemporary infill architecture, to create a total of six homes. The character house retains its main features through reuse of existing window locations and angled entry stairs. The street facing gable and porch maintain its distinctive presence in the community.
The architectural concept for the infill uses materials such as shingles, siding, brick, rough dash stucco, robust wood detailing and divided windows to maintain the character of the streetscape, while the colour palette is intended to emphasize the retained character house.
